Gold Details

Gold Details

Before I start, I just want to say my Venice Part 2 will be up soon and I have more exciting new posts on the way. :D
When it comes to simple outfits, details are the key for me. As I was clicking away through slides of jumpers on different websites, I came across this navy one, which quickly stood out. That's right, I was totally digging the gold detailing on the jumper, and all of a sudden it was already in my basket :)
I loved how even though it's a crop jumper, the length is just the right amount for me - not too long and not too short. The fit is a little boxy and boyish, which I love by the way.
As the jumper was the statement piece on this outfit, I built the other pieces around it, which was pretty simple. I went navy-on-navy with my Levis shorts and I didn’t think I needed any accessories as the gold detailing was doing a pretty good job. I finished off with my new lace up heels from New Look, which will be seen in many of my future looks. I hope you like it!

Venice Alleyways

Venice Alleyways

Hey there lovely people, I am back in London after the most awesome and magical time in Venice. Our flight was at 6 in the morning, so we had to leave at 3am to arrive at the airport at 4.  So yes, it was pretty exhausting for me, as I am never in a good mood when sleep deprived! We landed at Treviso airport around 9ish. Check-in at the hotel, which was in Mestre (15 mins on train from Venice), wasn't due until 3 in the afternoon - so we decided to go straight to Venice. Then, one quick stop in a cafĂ© for double espresso and I was wide awake to spend my first day exploring beautiful Venice.

One of the best ways to get to know Venice is to simply get lost down its hundreds of alleyways. I can still recall that great walk, from stalls of colourful masks to uncountable restaurants. The weather was perfect so we spent a sunny afternoon walking canal-side, admiring the candy-hued houses, shopping for beautiful handmade jewellery and discovering many pizza and pasta restaurants for lunch. The hotel was beautiful itself and had lots of little spots with water fountains and boats outside, just to relax in the sun. We ended our first day by ordering some gourmet room service.

My outfit for day one was pretty basic and included accessories like my sunglasses and this black leather cap to cover my bare face and to help protect my face and head from the sun as well. I went for a plain white vest and black tailored shorts. I also added an oversized denim jacket, just in case it got a little chilly, and finished off the look with the only pair of shoes I took. I hope you like it!
