Mixed

When it comes to creating any look with a little bit of edginess, I am always up for it. I love any looks that come with a twist. With this one, I wanted give a little pop up of multicolour prints covered in that black and white canvas. My idea of layering always works great with basic pieces and different prints and textures, and in this look I was able to experiment with it. I added a plain white shirt underneath this leather top. I think the long white sleeve peeking out on the half sleeve leather creates interesting silhouettes. I added a multicoloured skirt to bring some life to that black and white canvas and finished off the look with black boots to keep the edginess to the outfit. I hope you like the look.

Copenhagen Prints

My stay in Copenhagen was amazing. We started off with a Copenhagen canal boat, which was scenic and relaxing, bustling through the quants of canals of its historic Christianshavn, with its picturesque old Dutch-style buildings, and just really enjoyed the seaside views of the city’s most famous and historic landmarks. So Day 2 was pretty chilled out too, we went to see the ‘Little Mermaid’ and just strolled around the shores and parks. We also went to the Carlsberg factory and that was the best beer I have ever had. As for the outfit, I went for this light, flowy cutout print dress and just incase it gets little chilly, I added a kimono. For shoes I used the only pair I took there. It felt quite tourist–like finishing off the look with the hat. I hope you like the look.

Embellished

Well, I am finally back from Denmark but first I would like to apologise for disappearing for a week. As you  all know I've been busy preparing for my sister's wedding, but the good side is I have a lot more hair and makeup looks coming soon. So, about today's outfit... I went for pretty basic pieces with the focus on one statement piece, which is my embellished chiffon jacket/cardigan. I chose to pair it with black skinnies - a must for anyone's wardrobe - and a white crop top. I kept the look monochrome to accentuate the embellished texture on the chiffon jacket. I hope you like the look.

Pastel Love

For me, pastel trend has been one of the trickiest to style - that was until I pushed myself to give it a go. I’ve always been fascinated by this ever so feminine and beautifully classic pastel trend but just never came around to it for myself. To be honest, generally I am quite late to try new things; I guess I just have to be more convinced, but seriously my love for pastel grew a lot stronger on seeing how it looks sweet enough to eat. Anyway, back to the outfit… I paired this beautiful multi-coloured pastel shirt with denim shorts, as I wasn’t ready to go full-on pastel. I decided to do one step at a time, which also gives more attention to the top. I completed the look with black boots, because I wanted to keep the outfit on the verge of feminine and edgy. I hope you like the look.
P.S: I am actually updating from Denmark, so a lot more new posts coming from Copenhagen soon. Stay tuned.

Styling My Best Friend

Today I decided to pamper my best friend. I styled her day and night look with full make up and hair. For her day look I went with clashing prints. I picked out this lovely floral print dress and paired it with a more darker print blazer. I think the mint bag complimented both prints pretty well and balancing with neutral colour shoes worked well. For the night look I went for classic floral print dress. I think the simple silhouette looks quite flattering, adding red clutch and red shoes made the whole outfit look very elegant. Since there was vintage theme going on,for the makeup I went for classic vintage look with cat eye and red lips. I kept the hair natural for the day look and went for loose hollywood curls for the night time. I hope you like the look.

Pop Art

Today has been pretty exhausting preparing things for my sister’s wedding in Denmark. Since I only have a few days left before my Denmark trip, I really had to rush with my packing, which was when I came across this little number: a multicolour top that I got from Camden market a few years ago. Then, I decided packing can wait - there is always time for dressing up. The first thing I love about this top is its colour palette - it reminds me of Pop Art, which I studied back in school. I paired the top with this leather overall. I love how the multicolours are peeking out of the black overall.  I kept the rest of the pieces like the shoes and the cap black as well, because sometimes you just have to let the colours work their magic.I hope you like the look.

Military Beat

Sometimes I just love it when I don’t have to do much to the outfit, it just speaks for itself.  When I am in a rush I normally go for a jumpsuit or playsuit just because it's so easy to slip into without worrying about what to pair it with. Today, I went for this playsuit from River Island and as you can see I didn’t have to do much to it. It already had these cute military-style buttons and attached belt that accentuate the waistline. I was pretty smug pairing it with these amazing shoes from Asos (which are so similar to the ones I saw in the ‘Sex and the City movie worn by Carrie Bradshaw). I also added a little version of a dog tag look-a-like necklace to complete the look. I hope you like it.

Sequin on Sequin

"Nothing helps you stand out in a crowd like sparkle" - 'Seventeen' magazine. Yes, I am talking about sequin. What’s not to like about it? It brings any outfit back to life with delight and dazzle, now that’s something worth glinting for. Today I walked around in the sun covered in sequin and trust me it felt pretty glamorous. I paired my sequin lace top with gold sequin skirt. I think the black lace top and textured gold sequin on the skirt was quite flattering together. I added simple black pumps and a beige bag to keep the balance with all the sparkles. Also, who needs accessories when you are covered in sequin and rocking red bold lips? I hope you like the look.
