New Vision

New Vision

The few weeks have been a real struggle for me to keep things together and this definitely starts from my sleeping pattern, my daily routine, my goals and my blog. It’s fascinating how change can come in many forms in our lives and sometimes gradually starts changing everything else, except for the things that we value. The strength of having values is when they are clear to us; our decisions become even clearer. Even though change is often difficult, often it’s also for the best. Accomplishing anything great in life requires significant change that pushes us beyond our comfort zone. When we are willing to step outside of our comfort zone when we need to, that’s when we discover so much more about ourselves, a whole new world - a world of our own vision.

My outfit today definitely portrays that change; honestly, wearing faux fur is a big change in my style as well a big step outside my comfort zone. This is the first time I am wearing a faux fur jacket so I didn’t know I was in for a treat - it's the warmest thing ever! Again, wearing leopard print is another big step for me so I really am a step closer to a new vision of discovering new style (if that makes sense!).  For underneath and bottom, I went all black, including a black scarf as no one will even notice underneath that big coat. I also thought the leather works quite well with the leopard print. I finished off the look with pair of black boots and my Ray Ban glasses. I hope you like it.

Grey Hues

Grey Hues

Since today was a pretty casual day for me, meeting my best friend and doing what we do best - normally shopping, talking and laughing a lot - I decided to pick out quite a casual outfit, something that I feel comfortable in, but still looks stylish.

A simple outfit like this makes my life so much easier when I’m cramped on time and feel too lazy to think of creative dressing solutions. That's why sometimes I love to buy a pack of white basic t-shirts and they do a great job paired with skinny jeans. Today I decided to pair one with leather trousers since it's winter and the cool thing about these trousers is that the interior is lined with warmer material, so they're perfect for winter. I also added a much warmer grey double-breasted coat. I know wearing grey might sound a little bit bland, but in my eyes grey does no wrong, especially when it comes to casual, classic and chic. I think it’s the colour of sophistication. I wore my favourite shoes that you might have seen hundreds of times but I can’t help how comfortable they are! Lastly I added a black fedora hat to complete my look in a more Sherlock Holmes style. I hope you like the look.

Neon Accents

The weather has been really confusing this winter. When I finally raided my wardrobe for winter clothes, there was a sudden heat wave for the past few days and now I am hearing that the storm is coming too so it's always a smart idea to keep the essentials in your bag. On my look today, it felt warmer so I kept the umbrella and cardigan in my bag because as they say you can never trust London weather.

Just because Autumn / Winter tends to be dark and gloomy doesn’t mean the outfit has to be too. I’m sure many of us have put away our bright clothing in exchange for the winter darks but the neon trend is not just for summer. Wearing neon in winter is not as tricky as you might think, but you might have to tone it down a notch. Also using neon as an accent is a great start and that’s what my outfit today includes - just a hint of brightness contrasting with darker shades. I paired this yellow/lime neon top underneath the leather top and black leather leggings. This definitely made the neon colour pop a lot more. I kept the shoes, top and leggings matching with leather accents and finished the look with a grey bag and my silver statement coin necklace, which I love at the moment.

Leather & Lace

I always thought Leather and Lace are two essential elements as opposites, but, like they say, opposites attract. This edgy leather and feminine, romantic lace make a great combination. And while leather and lace look gorgeous together, the two trends are just as stylish on their own.
For my look today, I went for the classic black and white palette. You can never go wrong with monochrome, that’s obviously if you do it right. For the outfit, I picked this white lace bralet. I loved how its delicateness contrasted with the edginess of the leather trousers I chose to pair it with. I added a pair of cutout shoes just because I love anything to do with cutouts and also to stick to the colour theme I was going for. I completed the look with a silver statement necklace that has blue and pink colour stones to bring some pop-up colour in my outfit.
I hope you like the look.
