Sway with me

Sway with me

So, as you can tell, I’ve been experimenting a lot with colours. I guess in autumn/winter we are more likely to see darker shades, but this time around I’ve been wearing much brighter colours. I'm not going to lie - they stand out lots more in London's gloomy autumn/winter.

Today, my whole outfit is from Pull & Bear. I might not have many pieces from them, but they are one of my favourite high street brands. For a while now, I’ve been looking for a perfect A-line skirt. The ones i found before have all been a little stiff, meaning they just didn’t fall on my body the way I wanted. When I saw this one at the shop, I instantly loved it; the colour, the fabric and its shape. When I tried it on, it looked exactly how I thought it would. The only problem was they didn’t have my size! Still, that didn’t stop me from leaving with a bigger size, as well as this cut-out stripe top to pair with. I finished off the look feeling earthy, with matching tan shoes, and also added these earrings and bunch of rings from Forever 21 to give that boho vibe. I hope you like it!

Minimalist

Minimalist

Recently, I’ve been writing down my thoughts, experiences and things that inspire me in my day-to-day life. Doing so really helped me narrow down my own path; what I need, recognising the changes and the growth of our own opinions. This has also helped me to live in a more minimalist way. When people say they are minimalists, that doesn’t mean giving up on important things, but letting go of things that you don’t need and using that minimalist thinking to your own advantage. Minimalists search for happiness not through things but through life itself. Thus, its up to you to determine what is necessary and what is superfluous in your life. The whole idea is that you have the only things that you need. Sometimes certain situations in our life, thoughts in our head, or clothes / shoes in our closet or just things in our room tend to take that extra space. But the question we have to ask is do we really need it?

I have used a minimalist theme in my outfit today, just because I thought this is all I need for a casual day. Turtlenecks are quickly becoming one of my favourites to warm myself up without needing a scarf, and also just to wear as a casual top. I love wearing it with any skinny jeans really, but today I chose to wear it with light blue skinnies just to add some brightness on the look. I finished the look with my cutout shoes, which is no surprise because I literally can’t stop wearing them! I hope you like the look.

Caught on the web

My look today includes all of my favourites, that’s right, it ticked all the boxes for me. Sometimes it's amazing how you end up creating an ensemble you like picking out random pieces that you didn’t even know you had. Firstly, I picked out this black chiffon dress and since I am a big fan of cutouts, I instantly fell in love with the cage cutout details on the neckline.
I added this semi-sheer knit top, with its off-shoulder cut on point to show off the cutout details on the dress. I also added a belt to accentuate the waistline and to hold the pieces together as a whole outfit. I finished the look with black strappy shoes. I hope you like the look.
