Military Beat

Sometimes I just love it when I don’t have to do much to the outfit, it just speaks for itself.  When I am in a rush I normally go for a jumpsuit or playsuit just because it's so easy to slip into without worrying about what to pair it with. Today, I went for this playsuit from River Island and as you can see I didn’t have to do much to it. It already had these cute military-style buttons and attached belt that accentuate the waistline. I was pretty smug pairing it with these amazing shoes from Asos (which are so similar to the ones I saw in the ‘Sex and the City movie worn by Carrie Bradshaw). I also added a little version of a dog tag look-a-like necklace to complete the look. I hope you like it.

Sequin on Sequin

"Nothing helps you stand out in a crowd like sparkle" - 'Seventeen' magazine. Yes, I am talking about sequin. What’s not to like about it? It brings any outfit back to life with delight and dazzle, now that’s something worth glinting for. Today I walked around in the sun covered in sequin and trust me it felt pretty glamorous. I paired my sequin lace top with gold sequin skirt. I think the black lace top and textured gold sequin on the skirt was quite flattering together. I added simple black pumps and a beige bag to keep the balance with all the sparkles. Also, who needs accessories when you are covered in sequin and rocking red bold lips? I hope you like the look.

Sleek Preview

Despite the fact that I love crazy, quirky outfits, once in a while a simple outfit always comes to my rescue. It's true when they say ‘less is more’ and I tend to apply this quote - but when I do, I like to keep it quite sleek. Today I started from the basic, so here is one essential item that everyone needs in their wardrobe: a basic white top, which I paired with black leather shorts. Recently, the hype for kimono is crazy high, cheers to one lovely summer for that. So I would be mad not to get this kimono/blazer, which I think not only jazzes up those basic pieces but also adds that much needed  ‘oomph’ factor to the outfit. I kept the accessories quite minimal with just one chunky gold chain. I completed the look with my recent favorite tan shoes. I hope you love the look.

Metallic Shine

In all honestly, all I am thinking about these days is to find perfect accessories. I have realised how one accessory can take the whole outfit to a completely different concept, whether it's dramatic, chic, elegant or simple. It's always a good way to jazz up any simple look.  In the hunt for statement accessory pieces, one of my best finds is this arm cuff harness, and pairing it with my metallic maxi skirt gave that ancient feel to it. I always like to add a little accent to the outfit as emphasis to the theme I am going for, like the little gold accents on the bralet, which compliment the rest of the outfit to give that metallic shine and ancient feel to it. Accessorize it

First of all, may I just say how much I am in love with this headpiece? And yes it was only £2. What a bargain. I always thought of myself as not much of an accessories person, but after having love at first sight with this piece those feelings clearly changed. Recently I've been looking into more accessories, especially statement pieces that go great with basic items of clothing. As for my outfit, I wanted to keep it quite summery, so I paired my white denim shorts with this neon yellow top, as neons are always on trend every summer. I also love the shoulder cutouts on the top, I think cutout gives any outfit  that sexy feel to it without having to show lot of skin. I think the headpiece instantly adds that festival vibe to the outfit. I completed the look with one of my favorite pairs of studded pointy shoes. I hope you like the look.

Vintage

Today I had the sudden urge to wear my Levi’s vintage shorts and since we are lucky enough to see the incredible sun shining, it was the opportunity not to be missed. So I put together this outfit with great effort to keep up with the vintage theme. I paired the shorts with black and white stripe shirt.  Black and white stripes are one the trends that stays all year around and I think it complimented the shorts pretty well. I also added my old rusty clogs to complete the outfit. Recently I have seen lot of royal blue shade bags and one of my favorite one is Michael Kors ‘Selma’ in blue. I was over the moon when I saw this bag from Missguided, which was a great alternative to please my craving for Michael kors Selma bag.  It was the right colour, size, style and perfect way to balance the vintage look with contemporary feel to it. Strand of black thread

Matchy Matchy print set are big this season, from high end to High Street it seems to be everywhere. ‘Matching top and bottoms may be quite tricky to pull off but doing it right can take the whole outfit to new level of chic’- Elle Malaysia. I started off this trend with this paisley print coordinates from Motel Rocks. I love how the subtleness on the blue colour complimented the white paisley print. The off shoulder cut and the cropped length was the perfect combination I was looking for just to add enough sexy touches to the outfit. I also added 90’s style inspired tattoo chocker and ruffle socks with white shoes to give a vintage vibe, also I went for softer colour choice for my shoes and socks that compliments the outfit.  I hope you like the look.
